Tattnall County Courthouse
The Tattnall County Courthouse is a circa 1900 building which incurred a major renovation in the 1960’s. The desire of the Tattnall County Commission is to restore the building to its historical past. The Tattnall County Courthouse is designed as a two phase renovation. The completed first phase of the renovation consisted of renovating the existing 25,000 square feet three-story structure that included a Courtroom, Jury Assembly Room, Hearing Room, and various offices and meeting rooms. The second phase of the renovation is to reconstruct the mansard style roof dormers, architectural detail and bell tower. Both phases include exterior and interior restoration. The exterior materials are brick, glass, metal architectural trim and cast stone trim.
